NCT DREAMS
Wow almost here! I am writing this in my anticipation for @NCTsmtown_DREAM Dream’s concert set for September 21, 2024 at the @usbarena in what promises to be an electrifying night! Even though this is not my first time seeing NCT live, my excitement stems from their newer project that always follows a great comeback tour.
So, NCT Dream's latest EP, DREAM( )SCAPE, featuring the title track "Smoothie," marks a significant evolution for the group, both in terms of their musical style and thematic depth. Released after an eight-month hiatus since their previous album ISTJ, this new project embodies a message aimed at those who feel lost or without dreams, offering them an emotional escape.
The title track, "Smoothie," is a high-energy song with a unique choreography that the members describe as their most challenging yet. The lyrics, filled with metaphors and vibrant imagery, reflect a sense of liberation and the ability to handle life's difficulties with grace and ease, much like sipping a well-blended smoothie. The intense choreography adds another layer to the song, showcasing NCT Dream's growth and maturity as artists.
Beyond the title track, the album features several other standout songs like "Carat Cake, “Box” and "Breathing," a deeply emotional track written by four of the members. Each song on the album reflects the group's personal experiences and emotions, making it a truly collaborative effort.
